    Job Description:
    Assist the Company Secretary in preparation of papers for the Board of Directors, Board Committees and Executive Management Committees.
    Attendance at the meetings/preparation of the Minutes of the Meetings in the absence of the Company Secretary of any of the Companies in the Group.
    Coordination of the Company Secretariat.
    Organize and Coordinate the General Meetings of the Companies in the Group.
    Handle the Directors Welfare and Management of Shareholder Relations.
    Filing of Returns and Update of Statutory Records with Regulatory Bodies of Companies in the Group.
    Interface with Regulatory Bodies on regulatory issues affecting the Company. i.e Complying with the rules of SEC, NSE and CAC.
    Review and Advise on matters pertaining to litigation including the institution/defense of court actions.
    Prepare and vet contingent liability instruments including Advance Payment Guarantees, Performance and Bid Bonds.
    Prepare and vet agreements between the Companies and their customers, contractors and associations/unions.
    Prepare and vet credit documentation such as legal mortgages, debentures, equipment leases, warehousing agreements
    Rendition of reports on cases in court.
    Liaise with solicitors in respect of cases in court and periodic review of the status of the cases with a review to expediting their resolution and ascertaining the effectiveness of the strategies adopted.
    Proffer legal opinions on issues affecting the Companies from time to time.
    Monitor and advice on current developments in the laws as they affect the Companies.
    Address legal issues arising from relationships with customers, staff, regulatory authorities and other financial institutions.
    Handle matters pertaining to labour relations including the interpretation and application of the staff handbook.
    Perfection of the Company's security documents.
    Oversee the conduct of searches on corporate accounts and landed properties.
    Incorporation/Registration of business names, companies, and associations.
    Meetings and negotiation Representing the department at internal meetings.

    Desired Skills & Experience:
    Candidates should have at least 15-20 years cognate experience and possess a good university degree in  in Law.
    Candidates must have completed the mandatory NYSC program where applicable.
    Candidates for these roles must have strong leadership, verbal and written communication and computer skills.
    Must be a team player with good interpersonal skills and have ability to do well in a multi-disciplinary and culturally diverse workplace.
