    GE’s Information Technology Leadership Program is a key entry point for IT professionals at GE and designed to attract high-potential candidates looking to further develop their technical ability and business acumen. Our Information Technology Leadership Program professionals gain hands-on experience in system implementation, technical design and architecture, and operational excellence as they transition from academia to the working world. Program members get access to choose rotations in a variety of disciplines (e.g. system implementations, technical design/architecture, and operational excellence), accelerating their future at GE.     ITLP member will have access to rotational and training experiences across the world .Member will be primarily based in Nigeria.
    As a key pipeline for future leaders of GE’s world-class global IT organization, the Information Technology Leadership Program is a full-time, two-year program consisting of multiple assignments that program members get to choose from. Continued education is central to the program with over 12 weeks of technical (e.g. Java programming, DBA, data warehousing, business intelligence, mobile application design and development, et al), project management (waterfall and Scrum), and leadership training over the two years. The job assignments and training are designed to enable participants to use their information technology experience to drive some of GE’s strategic business initiatives. Each assignment and training experience is global allowing participants to travel to other countries, work with colleagues from around the world, and make an impact on products and services that make the world better.
     
    Possible rotational assignments may include:
    *Application development (Web, client server, standalone, mobile) – utilizing Agile and Waterfall methodologies
    *Systems management and optimization
    *Business process re-engineering
    *Infrastructure management and environmental design/build out
    *Security/controllership
    *Customer support
    *NOTE that each role will have a technology and a project management component
     
     
    Qualifications/Requirements     
    *A minimum of a four-year technical degree in one of the above listed majors
    *GPA greater than or equal to 3.0/4.0

    Essential Responsibilities             
    • The GE Operations Management Leadership Program combines broad exposure to core Supply Chain and Services job assignments along with formal classroom studies
    • Due to the rotational nature of the Program, a member will typically complete three to four assignments over a two-year period, each approximately six to eight months in length that cut across different aspects in manufacturing processes, products and services

    Role Summary/Purpose               
    GE Energy recently signed an MOU with the Nigeria’s Federal Ministry of Power.The purpose of the MoU is to jointly develop 10GW over 10 years with the Fed govt of Nigeria and Private sector power developers. The MOU Development team lead implementation of the MOU by originating, structuring&execution of incremental power generation projects which will drive profitable growth for GE Energy in Nigeria. Development will include external partnering initiatives as well as internally focused efforts
     
    Essential Responsibilities             
    This Project Director role will target Greenfield and expansion projects in the power generation segment including IPPs, NIPP exapansion, PHCN privatizations, Industrial Captive self-generators and other opportunities for Distributed Power applications. The Project Director will work as part of the project development team, leading or assisting as required depending on the size and complexity for the project, , Manage the manage project and key project contracts with a focus on accelerating development of bankable projects by working with other team members including legal/compliance, debt & equity capital markets. The project director will work with the Project Associate, coordinate functional resource support from Energy Financial Services teams as well as GE Energy commercial team inclusive of equipment sales and GPO/EPC relationship manager. This position will report to the Project Development Leader.
     
    Specific activities will include:
    • Identify, screen, select and negotiate new project development opportunities for GE Energy.
    • Identify, screen and structure business deals and opportunities
    • Promote progress on existing projects, either by supporting the co-developer and/or by undertaking development initiatives as required from time to time.
    • Protect GE Africa's interest both within and outside contractual arrangements.
    • Follow-up on project progress & budgets and report to team.
    • Support sell-up activities on current deals or projects.
     
     
    Qualifications/Requirements     
    University degree, preferably in engineering and/or finance.
    • MBA or Master's degree in a related field.
    • Minimum 10 years' experience in similar infrastructure position (Power) with experience of leading development and execution of power projects in emerging markets particualry in IPP type structure. , strong understanding of the key stakeholders, environment including project development agreements, EPC and IPP’s.
    Agreements, management of consultants and subcontractors, land deals, permitting procedures, project finance structures and financial models.

    Role Summary/Purpose
