    Role Summary/Purpose               
    The Distributed Power Applications Engineer is responsible for the technical content of the information available about GE’s Distributed Power product line. This work provides the details of the features and capabilities of the Product line including performance, emissions, acoustic and other guarantees for bids and proposals. Responsibility includes ensuring GE designs meet not only Energy business but satisfy or exceed the customer requirements.

    Essential Responsibilities             
    * provide technical guidance in preparation for the sale, installation and operation of GE Distributed Power products *Gas Turbines, Gas Engines, Diesel engines, Energy storage and other
    *Respond to new units and services sales team inquiries for information about product capabilities.
    *Evaluate non-standard product requests (fuels, applications, capabilities, etc.).
    *Develop material to support marketing and sales efforts.
    * Generate services solutions by proactively identifying technical lessons learned and from features added to the product lines.
    *Develop and communicate Interface and Product changes to internal & external OEMs and .
    *Mentor colleagues on design/IDM/tech manual issues, reviewing customer/site queries/events.
    *Contribute Installation/Services issues/opportunities to PCB/TPR teams.
    *Ensure engine (for the assigned product line) cycle deck is consistent with product capabilities.
    *Provide content for emissions guidelines and guarantees.
    *Conduct assessments of competing offerings.
    *For non-GE OEMs, conduct package Design Reviews. Respond to technical OEM queries related to POs and/or Installation/capability. Investigate /resolve startup events & problems.

    *BS degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, Civil or Power Engineering.
    *Minimum of 3 years Engineering Experience.
    *Minimum of 2 years’ experience with technical aspects of power generation or mechanical drive equipment.
    *Greenbelt Certified (GE Employees Only).

    Desired Characteristics 
    *Power generation/Energy Product Technical Knowledge.
    *Ability to speak fluently at least one language other than English – Spanish, French, Italian
    Results and process oriented.
    *Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office and UNIX.
    *Ability to coordinate activities and priorities for multiple projects.
    *Well-developed team presentation and communication skills (verbal & written).
    *Gas turbine testing, service, packaging, or applications engineering experience.
    *Thermodynamic modeling program experience, GT PRO, GateCycle.
    *Black Belt certified (GE Employees Only).
    *Willingness and ability to travel (35%)

    Role Summary/Purpose               
    This role is responsible for on site activities of the "order to remittance" projects in his area in order to achieve customer satisfaction thru site management and installation quality. He sets accurate delivery, installation and clinical application key dates and coordinate the field operations until handover. He ensures compliance with contractual requirements and local regulations.

    Essential Responsibilities             
    • Provide GE Healthcare leadership during site preparation:
    • Manage strategic projects throughout EAGM by on the ground coaching of internal and external Key stakeholders and direct customer management.
    • Coach Distributors and GE Installation specialists on the technical aspects and project management achieving execution excellence in a challenging environment.
    • Ensure regional readiness for NPI execution proactively
    • Provide support to customers and to sales representatives with site preparation and project management activities; deliver high quality site planning documents and drawings to customers; select equipment cables and options in a timely manner, monitor and communicate site management key dates for recording in the OTR project management systems; organize des-installation and recovery of previous systems if pertinent; in compliance with the WEEE directive and organize on site equipment delivery.
    • Ensure installation quality to our customers: identify and plan the needed resources; provide directions for subcontractors; installation leaders and clinical applications specialists; monitor and communicate delivery; installations and applications key dates for recording in the OTR project management systems.
    • Support the sales transfer: ensure compliance, handover and reporting procedures are followed; support the customer's acceptance process; ensure the relevant paperwork is dispatched in a timely manner to the administrative staff in charge of contracts and warranties.
    • Follow and comply with existing GE Healthcare EHS rules and procedures.
    • Be involved in EHS activities and programs (e.g. training, accidents reporting…) in compliance with the environmental health and safety policy.
    • Field leader responsible for the on-site activities of the “Order to Remittance” projects in his area.
    • Achieve customer satisfaction through the best possible site management and installation quality.
    • Assess sales feasibility for equipment. Set accurate delivery, installation and clinical application key dates. Coordinate the field operations till handover.
    • Ensure compliance with contractual requirements and local regulations.
