Sub Sahara Africa Regional Channel Manager  
Role Summary/Purpose:             
The SSA O&G Channel Manager is responsible for the development and execution of the indirect distribution strategy for the O&G business in the region.


Essential Responsibilities:            
Develop and manage alternate distribution channels in line with the business growth strategy for the O&G platforms. This will include the identification of best practices for defining an indirect distribution strategy, selection of the appropriate partners, performance measurement and management of the channel partners, and ensuring Legal and GE Spirit & Letter Compliance. Drive Commercial Excellence Goals & Objectives, and implement key performance metrics and scorecards for business process simplification and commercial excellence. In addition, you will:

- The SSA O&G Channel Leader will work with diverse teams across the region, managing through a matrix structure, and will require strong analytical skills, process and project management, combined with well-developed indirect team leadership and influencing skills

- Develop and implement a sales plan for assigned channel / distributors aimed at achieving and exceeding our financial commitments to the business

- Identify key channel partners and develop relationships for maximum impact

- Regularly review channel portfolio to ensure top performers are identified and managed for growth, non-performers are identified and place on performance improvements plans/terminated

- Actively manage with Regional and P&L support the relationship with the assigned distributors to ensure alignment with team and company objectives

- Provide channels and sales managers with the support, training, and information needed to ensure c effectiveness

- Maintain a high level of technical and commercial competence on all O&G product modalities

- Prepare and participate in business reviews / forecasts with senior leadership to ensure a constant flow of accurate information between Channel / Distributors and the company

- Maintain an awareness of competitor activities and developments and ensure that this information is collected and made available to senior leadership

- Develop a comprehensive communication strategy leveraging tools driving consistent transparency within our global partners

- Drive Commercial efficiency and effectiveness with our channels via solid tools strategy

- Continue to develop a complimentary e-commerce strategy plus other strategies which will complement our existing channel partners

- Work with HQ Channel Management team to implement best practices from global channel management.

- Work with the Channel Comm Ops team to ensure speedy and compliant onboarding of Channel Partners

Qualifications/Requirements:   
- Bachelor’s Degree

- Minimum 10 years in sales management and/or operations roles

- An understanding of and experience in doing business in Sub-Sahara Africa

Surface Operations Lead, Nigeria 
Role Summary/Purpose:             
Provide overall leadership to the base ensuring a common vision and unified operating rhythm.

Essential Responsibilities:            
- Develop local content according to a wider localization strategy.
- Lead attentiveness to business needs to ensure on time delivery, increased productivity and control costs.
- Direct and ensure the effective and coordinated completion of all activities pertaining to potential equipment orders and firm equipment orders, delivery along with the installation and maintenance of GE Surface equipment.
- Perform functions to plan and direct the required interface between customer, field service and other departments and provide appropriate technical assistance.
- Maintain intimate involvement with all critical accounts to ensure customer satisfaction. Devise action plans for problem resolution and track progress.
- Directly manage the most critical field situations.
- Liaise with the Customer and coordinators to establish the schedule for equipment delivery, installation and the allocation of Service personnel for installation and maintenance activities.
- Brief services personnel on scope of work prior to operations commencing and de-brief on completion of operations.
- Focal Point of contact on a daily basis for the customer and GE surface products covering all aspects of onshore and offshore operational support.
- Build customer intimacy and driving speed and quality through an empowered regional operation
- Drive growth & productivity while always adhering to the highest compliance standards.
- Obtain quotes for new equipment, spares and installation tools, then follow through to delivery.

Qualifications/Requirements:    ·
-10 years of experience in Upstream Oil & Gas sector.
- 5 years of experience as Supervisor or equivalent position in Oil sector.
- Knowledge of Surface Wellhead & Flow Control equipment in development and exploration disciplines.
- Bachelors Degree.
