Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation Officer 
The successful candidate will coordinate the development of realistic and achievable annual plans by all country programme units and effectively monitor progress against objectives. This is vital to support the implementation of WaterAid’s country strategic initiatives.

The position holder will also support country programme teams to develop and use systems, processes and tools that will promote programme planning, monitoring and evaluation. 

The position is based in Abuja but will require regular travel to the states, local government authorities and over 35 local partner organisations.

Minimum requirements:
The ideal candidate will possess a university degree in the physical or social sciences (or other relevant field). Possession of a masters degree in any of these areas will be an added advantage. You will possess a minimum of 4 years’ post-graduation experience, of which at least 3 years will be in a development programme management role. You will have a least 2 years’ experience in a role that requires application of NGO approaches to programme planning, monitoring and evaluation. Knowledge of research methodologies, knowledge management systems and experience in the water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) sector will be an advantage.

Communications and Advocacy Assistant
Communications and Advocacy Assistant (1 year renewable contract)

We are looking for a proactive and media-savvy person with an aptitude for fast learning to support the WaterAid Nigeria Governance department in all aspects of its communications, campaigns and advocacy activities. The successful candidate will support our social media, advocacy to stakeholders, events, publications, documentation, and campaigns.

Minimum requirements: The ideal candidate will possess a 4 year university degree in Mass Communications or relevant discipline. You will have a minimum of 2 years’ work experience in communications and/or media relations. You must be confident using social media platforms for advocacy and campaigns; planning and organising events; reviewing, editing and designing/laying out publications and documents. Experience in developing case studies and preparing reports is essential. Work experience at an international NGO or within the water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) sector will be an advantage.
