Summary
The HIV/AIDS Health Coordinator is responsible for\r overseeing the successful implementation of Women for Women International\'s\r Health Services Program in Nigeria. Specifically, the Health Coordinator\r will coordinate the major activities of a project focused on the\r improvement of the HIV/AIDS component of the health module in the\r WfWI-International life skills curriculum. In addition to the WfWI-Nigeria\r staff, the HIV/AIDS Coordinator collaborates and works closely with staff\r in the Global Programs Unit at WfWI-HQ and staff in the Regional Office to\r ensure efficient grant compliance and accurate, timely, and informational\r grant reporting.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Comprehensive Mapping
•    The HIV/AIDS Health Coordinator’s job\r responsibilities will begin with designing and completing a comprehensive\r mapping of all existing HIV/AIDS treatment and prevention resources in the\r communities where WfWI-Nigeria works around Jos that will be used to\r improve the ability of WfWI-Nigeria to refer women enrolled in our program\r to counseling and testing as part of an integrated, comprehensive\r empowerment program for the most marginalized women.
•    Systematic Assessment of Local and\r Contextual Barriers
•    The HIV/AIDS Health Coordinator will conduct\r a systematic assessment of local and contextual barriers women face in\r addressing HIV/AIDS in the region, and draw upon the information gained\r from the mapping exercise and barrier assessment to update, expand and\r enhance our existing HIV/AIDS curriculum and training materials to improve\r their quality and impact.
•     Work closely with LS trainers and LS\r Manager to gather individual stories of participants facing challenges to\r receiving information and services related to HIV/AIDS prevention and\r treatment.

Oversee Technical Experts
•    Oversee, collaborate with and coordinate\r work of Curriculum Development Specialist: In addition to ensuring that the\r information presented in our HIV/AIDS module in the WfWI curriculum\r reflects the best and most current science available.
•    Oversee, collaborate with and coordinate\r work of the Assessment Specialist: A contracted Specialist will design and\r implement a comprehensive assessment of the new Health Module curriculum\r and supplementary HIV/AIDS initiatives pilot with 100 women.
•    Monitor and Report on Pilot of new Health\r Module and Initiatives with 100 women
•    The HIV/AIDS Health Coordinator will monitor\r the pilot, as well as design and gather evaluation data to measure the\r effectiveness of the new curriculum before, during, and after the 100 women\r complete the new Health Module and HIV/AIDS initiatives
•    HIV/AIDS Health Coordinator will attend\r Health Module trainings during pilot to ensure high quality delivery of\r training content and methodology.
•    HIV/AIDS Health Coordinator will write field\r reports and collect success stories and challenges to program\r implementation.
•    The HIV/AIDS Health Coordinator will report\r monthly to WfWI-Nigeria, WfWI (HQ) and the Regional Office on project\r progress and findings in a timely manner.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
•    Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health,\r International Development, or related discipline. Master’s degree\r preferred.
•    At least five (5) years relevant work\r experience in international development projects focused on HIV/AIDS\r research, prevention and/or treatment, preferably with an international\r NGO.
•    Strong experience with donor compliance\r through projects funded by international foundations and bilateral\r organizations.
•    Excellent interpersonal and communication\r skills; ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
•    Excellent computer skills, including\r Microsoft Excel.
•    Strong organizational skills, accuracy and\r attention to details, and strong report writing skills.
•    Significant understanding of community\r health problems and needs. Demonstrated skills in creating and delivering\r community health trainings preferred.
•    Ability to work in a challenging environment\r and strong problem-solving skills.
•    Excellent written and verbal English and\r Hausa language skills required.
